Organization News
Welcome
to Kids For Fallen Heroes, an organization dedicated to paying tribute to our veterans who have departed.
There are many Cemeteries within this country, where countless members of the military, who have protected us throughout
the years, have come to rest. Many times these graves are forgotten and as a result, so is the
"Thank You" to our veterans who served for us. It is the goal of Kids For Fallen
Heroes to visit and decorate as many of these resting places as possible, so that eventually no veteran's grave in
this country would go untouched. ~ A
Little Background This organization was started by
a 6-year old boy who cares about our Heroes who have since come to pass. If you have met Kayden Sevison than you
are aware of the extreme patriotism that this young man has for this country and the Military that defends it everyday. After
seeing a special on Arlington National Cemetery, Kayden wanted all departed veterans to be continually honored for their service
and was saddened to find out that not every departed veteran gets the same treatment during the holidays. He wanted
that to change and this organization was started as a result.
Our Mission To continue to honor and thank those that have served in the military by decorating
their gravesite with hand-made tokens of thanks from our nations children. We hope to expand the knowledge of our organization
to get to a point in the future where no gravesite is left without a Thank You.
Our First Year - 2008 Our
1st year was a success with 200+ graves being presented with a heart-felt Thank You. In
2008, there were some folks who volunteered their time to assist us with our cause and we even had some assistance from
an Army Reserve Unit based out of Hampstead, MD. We felt that
we got a lot accomplished with getting this out of the idea stage and into an actionable cause with the help of many people
and our heartfelt thanks goes out to all of them. Although it was considered a success with the initial 200
gravesite markers that we made in 2008, we have steadily been able to increase the number of graves that can be honored from
year to year and we are excited to say that in 2011 we will be able to cover approximately 2,750 gravesites with a Thank
You from Kids For Fallen Heroes. We can only do that with your help. We would really love for this to
be adopted by School Systems, Church Groups, Veterans groups and any other organization that believes that our veterans
still need to be Remembered and Thanked even after they have left us. If interested in participating, please
let us know by e-mailing us @ kayden@kidsforfallenheroes.org.
DONATIONS We are happy to report, that the State of Maryland has accepted our application
and we are now legally able to accept donations as a non-profit organization. If you are interested in our cause
and you would like to help us out, please donate. 100% of all donations will go directly to the materials needed
for the making of these tributes, as all of us here at www.KidsforFallenHeroes.org volunteer our time to get these completed. We have tried to make it easy for you to donate and have set-up the ability for you to make a donation to our organization by simply clicking on the DONATE

UPCOMING EVENTS It is that time of year again, where we get the wonderful opportunity
to decorate the graves of our fallen soldiers. On Saturday, December 10, 2011, Kids for Fallen Heroes will once again
converge upon Baltimore National Cemetery to place our handmade tokens of appreciation on the final resting places of our
nations heroes. This year we are fortunate enough to be able to place our gravesite markers at the same time as
Wreaths Across America and feel very honored to be able to participate in that wonderful day of rememberance. We continue
to try and grow our footprint with the hopes that we can one day meet Kayden's dream of decorating all of the graves of our
nations heroes within our National Cemeteries throughout this great land. If you would like to volunteer to assist
us in placing the grave markers or can assist in other ways, please e-mail us at kayden@kidsforfallenheroes.org. We thank you for all of your support and as always, donations are always appreciated.
LATEST UPDATES December,
2011 - After the success of last year, it has been decided that we are going to increase the number of graves being honored. On
Saturday, June 25th, 2011 with the help of about 15 men, women and children (all volunteer) we were able to
assemble approximately 300 additionalGravesite Markers in about 4 hours. When all is added together, we will
able to honor approximately 2,750 heroes graves this year. What an honor it is to be able to honor this
many graves. It takes a lot of time for these gravesite markers to be assembled and I thank everyone who assisted
us with their time. It feels great to know that we will be able to make a difference to almost 3,000 graves at Baltimore
National Cemetery. ~ We were able to work with some companies, through a ton of Internet searching and were
able to get some of the materials in bulk. It costs us about $1 a piece for actual materials
to create each gravesite marker. We have just started collecting some donations to help fund the cause for
this year the years to come and we will always be looking for donations to increase the number of graves that we can honor
from year to year. We hope that when this grows into making many, many more that we can get even better discounts
for the bulk buying and with donations increasing that this will be able to take off and we can start getting tens of thousands
of graves honored instead of just a few thousand. ~ "We are where we are today due
to the sacrifices made by our brothers and sisters yesterday"
